Steps to Create a Hour-Based Rental Product ( Rental Type: Hour )
Go to: Product >> Ad New Product
1: Add General Information
Add Title & Short Description / Description
Add Product Image, Product Gallery, Product Categories, Product Tags, Brands

2: Set Hour - Based Rental Type
Step 1: Enable rental type: Hour
Firstly, go to: "Product Data" Dropdown, choose: "Rental" Value
Then, go to: "Rental Type" Dropdown, choose: "Hour" Value
Step 2: Set Regular Price / Hour
Example:
"Regular price / Hour": $10
Booking Duration: From 05/09/2025 07:00 to 06/09/2025 08:00
→ Rental Hours = 25 hours
→ Rental Fee = 25 ( rental hours ) * $10 ( "Regular price / Hour" ) = $250
→ Total Amount = Rental Fee = $250
3: Set Insurance Amount

"Regular price / Hour": $10
"Amount of insurance": $5
Booking Duration: From 05/09/2025 07:00 to 06/09/2025 08:00
→ Rental Hours = 25 hours
→ Rental Fee = 25 ( rental hours ) * $10 ( "Regular price / Hour" ) = $250
→ Total Amount = Rental Fee + "Amount of insurance" = $250 + $5 = $255
4: Add Deposit Payment

"A percentage amount of payment": 50% ( deposit amount )
Booking Duration: From 05/09/2025 07:00 to 06/09/2025 08:00
→ Rental Hours = 25 hours
→ Total Amount = Rental Fee = 25 ( rental hours ) * $10 ( "Regular price / Hour" ) = $250
+ If a customer chooses "Full Payment" option, he will pay $250 for one-time payment only
+ If a customer chooses "Deposit Payment" option, he will pay $125 ( 50% of $250 ) for first time payment

→ Total Amount = $250 ( Rental fee for a car ) *2 ( number of booked cars ) = $500
6: Guests
Step 1: Show Guests Bar
Go to Products → Add New Product → Advanced Options → Guests. Enable the guest feature and click Save

After saving, the Guests tab will appear. Configure the settings for the guest types you selected in Step 1

7: Add Pick-up Location & Drop-off Location

Note: If you set a price for a specific pair of pick-up and drop-off locations, that fee will be added to the total amount in addition to the rental fee.

→ Location Fee = $50 (for the Chicago → New York route)
→ Total Amount = rental fee + location fee = $250 + $50 = $ 300
8: Set Discount Price

8.1: Global Discount
Example:
"Regular price / Hour": $10
"Global Discount": From 26 to 29 hours: $9/hours, From 30 to 40 hours: $8/hours
Booking Duration: From 05/09/2025 07:00 to 06/09/2025 09:00
→ Rental Hours = 26 hours
Because the number of rental hours is 26 (which qualifies for the Global Discount), the price per hour is $9
→ Total Amount = 26 ( rental hours ) * $9 ( "Regular price / Hour" ) = $234
8.2: Special Time
Please, note: If customers book during the Special Time period, the price will be calculated based on the Special Time rate, and the Global Discount will not be applied.
Example:
"Regular price / Hour": $10
Booking Duration: From 10/09/2025 07:00 to 11/09/2025 09:00
→ Rental Hours = 26 hours
Although the number of rental hours is 26 (which qualifies for the Global Discount of $9/hour for rentals from 26 to 29 hours), the price per hour is $7 because the booking falls within the Special Time period ( from 10/09/2025 to 15/09/2025 ).
→ Total Amount = 26 ( rental hours ) * $7 ( "Regular price / Hour" ) = $182

Fee for 1 driver = 25 ( rental hours ) *1 ( price / hour) = $25
Fee for 2 baby seats = 2 ( number of baby seats ) * $2 ( price/order ) = $4
→ Free for Extra Resources = Fee for 1 driver + Fee for 2 baby seats = $25 + $4 = $29
→ Total Amount = Rental Fee + Free for Extra Resources = $250 + $29 = $279
