# Categories

## **1:  Add new category**

Go **to BRW >> Categories:** Enter Info in Add New Category

**General Settings**:&#x20;

You can set up:&#x20;

### **1.1: Insert Name**

### **1.2: Display**

Display product of this category  like Rental or Shop type.

### **1.3: Set "Display price in format" for Product Template or Card Template**

* Global Setting Option: You will use to settings for "Display price by format " in global settings ( [Product Detail page settings ](https://ovatheme.gitbook.io/brw/basics/global-settings/product-details))
* Add New Format Option

### **1.4: Choose Taxonomies**

This option will only appear if, in global settings: **WooCommerce >> Settings >> Booking & Rental >> General tab >> Show Custom Taxonomy** , you select "Based on each category" option

You can select from the available Custom Taxonomies, or choose Empty

### **1.5: Choose Custom Checkout Field** in Booking Form and Request Booking

* All: Display All Custom Checkout Fields
* Choose Other Fields: Choose some Custom Checkout Fields

### **1.6: Choose Specifications**

* All: Display All Custom Checkout Fields
* Choose Other Specifications: Choose some Specifications

### **1.7: Show Location in Booking Form and Request Booking form**

* Empty: If left empty, the system will use the values set in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Booking & Rental >> Booking Form >> Show Pick-up Location, Show Drop-off Location, and in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Booking & Rental >> Request Booking Form >> Show Pick-up Location, Show Drop-off Location.
* Choose display fields: Pick-up Location, Drop-off Location.

### **1.8: Rename Pick-up  Date Title**

Example: If you create category for hotel you can rename to: check-in date

### **1.9: Rename Drop-Off Date Title**

Example: If you create category for hotel you can rename to: check-out date

### **1.10: Product Template**

* **Global Settings**: Use default template \
  Find global template in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Booking & Rental >> Product Details >> Product Template

### **1.11: Card Template**

* **Global Setting:** WooCommerce >> Settings >> Booking & Rental >> Typography & Color >> Default Card Template
* Choose a card template: Currently the plugin supports 6 card template:

## **2: Add Category to menu**

Go to **Appearance >> Menu >> Choose Product Categories** to add it to menu
